About Mt. Gallant COG

How it all started...

Mt. Gallant Church of God has been a staple in the Rock Hill, SC community. Originally established as North Rock Hill COG in 1951, organized by Reverend C.M. Jinkerson, District Pastor and Reverend Charles Anderson, our First Pastor, At that time, the church was located on Cedar Grove Lane. In 1958 Pastor Talmage Bass build a new sanctuary and moved the church to its present location on Mt. Gallant rd. In 1971 Pastor Orville Hagan led the church in a new building campaign and erected the now existing sanctuary and the old sanctuary became the fellowship hall and discipleship wind. In later years North Rock Hill COG was known in the community as Mt. Gallant Church of God.
